A person at a local firm that specializies in malpractice seems to think a settlement in the millions of dollars is not out of the question. A settlement for a few hundred K is probably a slam dunk, because the entire problem would have been avoided by administration of a vitamin K shot and immediate draining of the hematoma on my first visit to the ER. Problem - this is not my Dr's fault - the fault lies with the ER personnel. Can I do this and keep my doctor out of it? -drl
