  1. After downloading the installation file it will have a .deb extension, eg netzero.deb
  2. Double click on netzero.deb. This pops up the "Open With" command window.
  3. Copy this command: dpkg -i %s
  4. Paste it into the text area of the "Open With" command window.
  5. Click OK

Your software is now installed. To run the NetZero software, double-click the "NetZero Internet" icon on your desktop.

Seems NetZero might just be "getting it".

New I bet free would work
The software is the same for platinum/free members on Windows, IIRC.

I have a feeling they are only letting 'Platinum' users download it - since they mention Lindows explicitly, perhaps there is some marketing agreement preventing general distribution? I dunno.

Let's see if I can find it and try...
