They're dead last. Tied with Washington. In fact technically worse than Washington, they've got two less wins. Six wins. Six. I remember the Leafs back in the '80s being that bad. It was just brutal watching them lose all the time.


I know they are dead last, but they are still improving their playing. They might still have a chance IF they step it up and keep up the improving.

For the sake of Fleury, I hope the Penguins return him to junior or the AHL after the junior championships over the Christmas break. You can't throw a kid like that to the wolves every night.


He doesn't really want to go back to the Junior league, and if the AHL is the minors, (I don't know what that is), he isn't eligible for that. He didn't even really want to leave to play for the championships, but they all thought it would be a good experience for him (team owners and his agent) so he went.

I still have faith that they might be able to turn it around, but they would surely have to hurry.
