Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Well, it is more a by-product...
Of the author's way of coding qmail.

True, things like that will happen, and upstream will have to fix it.

Since qmail and it's pop3 are used by quite a few... I am thinking this will get fixed fairly soon... as 2.6 is chugging right forward. If qmail doesn't chug with it, it'll become a thing of the past.

New Looks like qmail is going down...
Knowing the reputation of the author of qmail, I'd say it's exclusion from Debian is likely.

Wade.

Is it enough to love
Is it enough to breathe
Somebody rip my heart out
And leave me here to bleed

Is it enough to die
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be Anything but Ordinary
Please

New Its
But yes, I agree. Anyway, no great loss; there are better alternatives, at least one of which (exim) is the default in Debian.

New Well, at least now I have an incentive...
I set this up a couple of years ago under Mandrake and it hitched a ride to Debian mainly because I didn't have the time to spend to configure another MTA at the time. But its insistence on a local DNS has been irking for a time, so... out it goes.
