Replacement monitor cables?

Just had a used 21 inch monitor dropped in my lap today. It's got some image burn-in (apparently used in a hospital setting , possibly imaging system of some sort), but I can live with it. The price was right (free) and it's an HP Ergo 1600.

Problem is, it didn't come with a 15-pin monitor cable. I went to CompUSA and picked up a basic male to male cable, but it's crap. The ghosting on the display tells me it's of low quality and I'm going to have to return it.

Anyone have a favorite vendor for monitor cables of good to great quality? I'd really like to not have to go thru all the local vendors to find that they all have crap cables.

You can sorta guess without trying them.

Look for thicker cables - like third-of-an-inch thick - and higher than average price-tags.

Heavy shielding...

preferably foil >and< braid...and ferrite core...big monitors are their own worst enemy when it comes to cheap cables.

Shuttle Grade Monitor cable is my fav...

You should be able to google for it. Cheap it usually is (well not really cheap)
