Rest of English team were really only needed to keep French down their half of the field as much as possible (by kicking the ball there) and to protect Wilkinson who scored all of England's points from field goals and penalties.

The only try was scored by France.

The sad part of the whole game was that it poured with rain from mid-way in 1st half thru to end. It was not an enjoyable game to watch (am sure many English will disagree) but the conditions were appaling. Everyone kept dropping the ball.

So the grand final will be Wallabies vs Johnny Wilkinson.
