Before Scott created this home for us, we were in a semi-limbo - we started out on the InfoWorld forums under the tacit aegis of their premiere columnist, Nick Petreley. The publisher put a complete drone in charge of the magazine and everything well to hell. We moved to a public free board but that also devovled into uselessness. As a means of staying in touch while in the weeds, one of our (former?) regular posters set up a mailing list on his own equipment, or at least, on equipment he was responsible for managing. Many original members still use this list.
