Latest news in Sydney Australia says that the helicopter downed resulted in all 6 crew being killed.

This chopper was supposedly flying protection for a 2nd one that contained the US judge advocate general who was on a 'secret mission' in Tikrit.

So now the speculation ...

1) Was this a meeting with Saddam to arrange his departure from Iraq or surrender (Tikrit is Saddam's home town).

2) If 1) true, did elements opposed to the deal try to 'kill' it.

3) What is going on here ?

Again, I can only repeat the comments pass on the TV news (Channel SBS) which said that there was speculation that the Judge Advocate General may have been the target as he was in the other chopper and was on a 'secret mission' to Tikrit.
