This is getting too realistic.
It's so much like ezboard the plasma dots aren't going away when I mark a forum (or all forums) read.

Yep. I just nailed that bug.
I posted a longer explanation elsewhere. Suffice it to say I found one last spot where I needed to specify the timezone.

That's what you get for living in the Pacific Time Zone. :)

We like this time zone.
Especially the Windows admins, because by time they get to work there's already a fix for the daily virus.
