That site goes wayback
[link|http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.lileks.com/institute/interiors/bhg/index.html|Wayback machine], that is. \r\n\r\n Unfortunately, the images don't.

Most of the images seem to be there . .
. . but some definitely are missing.

Where?
I looked, couldn't find any.

Did you look very hard?
The first image that I ever saw from there: [link|http://web.archive.org/web/20010331084854/www.lileks.com/institute/interiors/bhg/chpt8/6.html|http://web.archive.o.../bhg/chpt8/6.html]
Someday, hopefully, I will forget...
Cheers, Ben

404
I get broken image icons. If I try to view the image itself (eg: http://www.lileks.com/institute/interiors/bhg/chpt8/6.jpg), I get a 404 page on the LILEKS site, with [link|http://www.lileks.com/errors/decker.JPG|this] image on it.

Bizarre - but I can guess what happened
The actual URL of the image is what you get if you concatenate:
http://web.archive.org/web/20010331084854/ http://www.lileks.com/institute/interiors/bhg/chpt8/6.jpg
What you are seeing starts with the second http://. Perhaps you have some setting that the wayback machine recognizes, or perhaps something about your browser settings causes it to misbehave.
Try going directly to [link|http://web.archive.org/web/20010331084854/http://www.lileks.com/institute/interiors/bhg/chpt8/6.jpg|that] and see what happens.
And if you can't see that, be assured that the images do exist, and some day you may join the elite who can see them. Trust me, this isn't all a plot to make you doubt your sanity. (Why waste energy on what already happens?)
Cheers, Ben

I have a ~1972 Home Decorating guide, I should scan it :-)
The picture of the room with volume-turned-to-11-garish wallpaper on the walls, and ceiling certainly justifies the 50c purchase price :)
Sigh, I still miss Xaplicapcatl (sp?), the frog god of crap...
But to answer your actual post, no I couldn't find any images either.

And here's the pic of him, in case it's a broken-image link
...for you too, as it was for me:

(But yeah, I know that's just a blow-up of a bit of the main pic on that page.)

Sorry, I still see far more images than . .
