Saw what seemed odd on way home tonight
On main artery from where I work heading home I passed a guy in usual riding outfit on a bike - thought, at this tim of night in peak hour just as darkness is settling, that is a dangerous pastime. Then I noticed that the pedalling activity was only on the left side of his bike, hmmm, he only has one leg. The leg on the road side of the bike just wasn't there.
In the next 3 kms he passed me 3 times. In the end I decided to get out of the outside lane he kept riding in. I couldn't help wondering how he lost the right leg.
To give him credit, he was courageous, but unless he was wanting to lose some other part of his anatomy, it seemed suicidal to ride in peak hour evening traffic, in this country, no matter how many legs he had.
Very unusual sight.
