OK I guess
He just freaked out tonight. The cot was killing his back, the painkillers make him tired without really killing the pain, there is no end in sight, woe is me, yadda yadda yadda. It was a bit bad.
So Barb came in and went the standard helpless mother route, not being able to help her baby, while I shot down every suggestion she made since I had just made them all and Ben shot them down.
We sent her away and made fun of her and Sarah. Always a good team sport for me and Ben. That cheered him up a bit.
I'll be sleeping in his room tonight on the air mattress since he is unable to get up by himself out of bed. I'll work from home a another day or so if I have to.

laughter as they say
is the best medicine. So, have you watched any good movies lately?
Is there something I can do to help?

Movies?
I loved "Kill Bill" as reviewed.
I rented Reservoir Dogs, Tears in the Sun, and Hollywood Homicide. Watched them all with Ben. I loved Dogs, Tears was OK, Hollywood had it's moments. The only real winner was Dogs.
Do? I dunno. Got a pound of fities you can "loan" me?
Ben's asleep on the cot right now. No percocet since 4AM. Maybe the worse has passed.

Wanna try something really Scary?
Emulate (the famous) Norman Cousins trip. Told he had incurable cancer (or WTF was the disease du jour) - he went to a hotel equipped with boxes of Mack Sennett, Charlie C et alia. Laughed for x-days.
His 'cancer' went into 'remission' (or whatever was the then-current, "shit, we don't know Why, but we can't say that!! cha cha cha") Yes, twas a Big Story a couple decades back ...
At worst - it Will just / at least take his mind off [*] (And you can improvise - all the Monty P movies and stuff you can get from PBS' video service, from the days when there *was* Murican humour, too.)
Just a thought,
Ashton
PS -- *NO* "Action" flics - bad juju even if you are reasonably 'healthy'; utterly useless for (what I understand to be) the Aim.

We LIKE action flics
Today was Holes (great kids flic as well, saw it in the movies), Bullet Proof Monk (fun trash). Anger Management is for tomorrow.
Alternating ibuprophen and Percocet at this point. Can make 8 hours between Percs.

As long as we're going down that road...

Seconded on Jacob's Ladder - that was a trippy film. Stir of Echoes was okay, but didn't really punch my ticket too much.
In that final hour, when each breath is a struggle to take, and you are looking back over your life's accomplishments, which memories would you treasure? The empires you built, or the joy you spread to others?
Therin lies the true measure of a man.

Awww
Can't you accept that you brain will occasionally leak out of your ears and go with the flow?
OK, it was pretty bad. But I liked it ANYWAY!
Tonight was "Anger Management". I called it as a setup almost immediately. I like it. A LOT.

fities?
I assume you mean fight movies? I don't have any to loan or many recommendations there. The idea was to cheer you up not get the adrenaline going. Maybe you could work both in with a couple of Jackie Chan movies...
