Yeah, pretty bad

We are genetically predisposed to tearing tendons and cartiliage. They stretch, scar, and never get better. If this was 100 years ago we'd be incapacitated or dead by age 35.

The block wore off last night. The Dr. gave me the real painkiller, oxycodone. He's been dozing throughout the day.

Careful with that stuff

That's Rush's drug of choice.

However, do not let your son try to "tough it out" by not taking his meds. If you don't stay ahead of the pain, you won't be able to take enough of it to get it back undr control. After I used up my Tylenol-3s, I thought, "Gee, this isn't so bad", and stopped taking anything. In about 6 hours, I was really hurting! My doctor prescribed Darvocet-100s (I told him I didn't want any codiene anymore), but it took about a day to everything back under control.
