New Event: Final cutoff for Warpstock hotel rate
From: "Mark Dodel" <madodelDESPAM@ptdprolog.net>

As Sam Little, Local Event Chair for Warpstock 2003 noted two weeks ago, we have had some problems with the hotel not giving people the Warpstock rate. We have made the hotel aware of everyone who we think should be credited as a Warpstock attendee, and they are to adjust the reservations. They have asked that I announce that the final cut off date in their system for the Warpstock rate will be 12 midnight tomorrow night (Thursday, October 8, Pacific time). We'd like to thank all those who have registered and made reservations for this years event.

If you still have not made your plans yet, here's the link to the Doubletree Hotel San Francisco Airport's homepage:
<[link|http://www.doubletree.com/en/dt/hotels/index.jhtml?ctyhocn=SFOAODT>|http://www.doubletre...?ctyhocn=SFOAODT>]

The hotel's direct number is 1-650-344-5500. Their FAX number is 1-650-340-8851.

Here is Hilton's secure reservations URL for making Warpstock 2003 room reservations:
<[link|https://secure.hilton.com/en/dt/res/choose_dates.jhtml?&hotel=SFOAODT&spec_plan_desc=Warpstock&spec_plan=CDTWRS>|https://secure.hilto...spec_plan=CDTWRS>]

For complete information on the great presentations and exhibits we'll have at the Warpstock 2003 conference, you should check out <[link|http://www.warpstock.org/>|http://www.warpstock.org/>]. The presentation session schedule should be up very soon. I will post an announcement when it is available. Also, now you can register for Warpstock 2003 on-line at this URL:
<[link|http://www.bamart.com/Store.asp?m=Warpstockinc&n=9&k=4268&s=Registration>|http://www.bamart.co...8&s=Registration>]

Warpstock, Inc., is a North Carolina corporation. The Warpstock annual conference is a gathering of OS/2 users, developers, and vendors from around the world for the purpose of education and advocacy. More information is available at the Warpstock web site: <[link|http://www.warpstock.org>|http://www.warpstock.org>]

See you in San Francisco in a week and a half. ;-)

New I'd love to go
but I don't got the dough.

'Course, the programming assignments I have coming due in the coming weeks have nothing to do with it:) But seriously. it's the flight, not the event.

I had a blast at the one two years ago in T.O.

New Re: And now a short video of Warpstock 2003
Well short in runtime anyway. 20minutes, but even the lowest quality version is still over 30MB. ;-)

We have updated the Warpstock File Library page <[link|http://www.warpstock.org/events/library.html>|http://www.warpstock...nts/library.html>] with the following new files:

A video montage of Warpstock 2003, by Thorolf Godawa (352x288 Real Media
format (RM)), approximate runtime: 20 minutes, filesize: 32MB

A video montage of Warpstock 2003, by Thorolf Godawa (720x576 AVI
format),approximate runtime: 20 minutes, filesize: 225MB

A video montage of Warpstock 2003, by Thorolf Godawa (352x288 MPeg1 format
(MPG)), approximate runtime: 20 minutes, filesize: 200MB

Note: All versions of this video are viewable under OS/2 using the
WarpVisionGUI player <[link|http://os2.kiev.ua/en/wv.php>|http://os2.kiev.ua/en/wv.php>] .
The MPeg1 version is viewable using the native OS/2 MPG viewer
(VB.EXE) included with all versions of OS/2 Warp and eComStation.

In addition we have added the HTML file of Paul Curtis' CSSDir Demonstration.

Who knows that OS2 is still the HEART of the Robotic Tape Libraries IBM Sells. What else would you trust?
