Post #117,816 by dmarker 9/14/03 11:18:54 PM Reply	Decided to peek at iTunes & discovered ip Radio Stations Had been wanting to explore ip Radio - had been hearing more & more about it but really didn't know where to start. Was visiting Apples website & started reading up about OS X 10.3 & why Apple say I must have it. Comment there was that it uses the iTunes approach to navigation so I then opened iTunes (had never bothered before) - very soon I had discovered the lists of ip Radio stations & sure enough they seem to work. Had me thinking that some time (probably a very long time off) a car radio might become a web terminal & the stations become ip streams. I was impressed at the range of types & styles of music that are abailable. Doug M

For example, I'm a showtunes hound and there's a station that plays nothing but movie and television soundtracks. Of course, I haven't listened to traditional radio in years so maybe I'm missing out on something. The "reception" is much better than via traditional radio. Unfortunately, they stopped using Quicktime, so that means I have to get RealOne (still free, although I had to remember to "cancel" the RealOne service). Some other real radio stations I listen to use WMP 9. So I guess I have to wait until WMP 9 for OS X comes from the doors of Redmond.
