New Losing the war at home...
[link|http://www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp?S=1432064|not quite yet.]

Excerpt:

(New York-AP) Sept. 6, 2003 - A new poll says 71 percent of Americans say the US has done a good job in Iraq since major fighting came to an end.

The Time-CNN poll also finds two in three Americans surveyed say the US was right in going to war with Iraq. But they're split on whether the war was worth the toll it has taken in American lives and other costs; 49 percent said yes, 43 percent said no, and 8 percent were not sure.

The poll also asked respondents about President Bush and found his approval rating is down to 52 percent, from 63 percent in May.

The survey of about 1,000 adults was taken September 3rd through September 4th. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.

I say:

Looks like the cries af "quagmire" aren't having the intended effect. But if you're still hoping for a quagmire, there's the United Nations. Now that's a quagmire.

Take this poll with a grain of salt.... we all know how biased in favor of Bush and the Iraq intervention Time and CNN are!
----------------------------------------------------------------
DEAL WITH IT.
Americans: a pack, not a herd.
Never mind all the mass graves. Where's the nerve gas?

New The rest of the story....
What the article (and you) fail to mention is that the [link|http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=584&ncid=584&e=1&u=/nm/20030906/pl_nm/bush_polls_dc|CNN/Times] poll had Bush at 63% in May. A drop of 11%.

And the most recent [link|http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=732|Zogby] has his rating numbers at 45%.

As for the 63% who thought that it was the right decision to go into Iraq - [link|http://www.msnbc.com/news/962627.asp|some 69% still believe] that Iraq had something to do with the 9/11 attack.

Of course, 99% of all polls are merely used to back the citer's prejudices.
New 88.5% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
