New No, I'm not
I have netbios, and tcpip, but not netbios over tcpip here. I only have a small network, and don't feel like dealing with the network hassles/firewalling/yadda that netbios over tcpip entails.

New Yes, but if you have Linux Samba servers . .
. . you need that NetBIOS over TCP/IP no matter how small your network is.

New Yes, that would be true.
Have you tried some of the more recent builds of mpts? If there's a problem with DOS and nb/tcpip, then some of the newer builds of mpts might fix them...

New Re: Yes, but if you have Linux Samba servers . .
What about the upcoming Samba 3? You can do AD then, which negates the need for NetBIOS (unless you've got Windows 9x or NT clients).

New Well, were talking OS/2 clients here . .
. . and I don't think AD is implemented for OS/2.
