New Dirty Dozen?
I was wondering if we could avail some of our prison population to come join our great adventure in the Middle East, perhaps as "elite" troops.

If you recruit them from prision, then use some really strong motivator to convince them they are Army Rangers or Navy Seals, then send them off to the Middle East as "heroes" to fight our war.

The only time they get live ammo is as they're being pushed out of the plane over Kabul. Then they can kill anything they like.

Only we don't tell them there's no search and rescue team coming if they get into trouble.

While we were thinking about cruel things, I thought I would throw that one in.

Glen Austin
New If you think it'd take them more than ten minutes . .
. . to offer their services to the other side, you've been watching to many Hollywood movies.

They're in prison not because they're heros, but because they're scum, and scum they will remain to the last breath.

New Well some are in for 40 years
For getting caught with a couple weeks personal supply of some natural substance - 3 times. Might prefer fighting where the odds are less stacked against them?

(Hell I'd go for the drop VS 40 years in Murican prison with Readers Disgust and Tee Vee)

A.

PS - our Drug War finances the Taliban et al - or has that been noticed a few times already? I don't expect that will alter anything but the rhetoric, generate more funds for new prisons = raise Taliban income further.

Logic is so so anti-political.
New Maybe we don't send them down with "real" rifles....
My original thought was to send them down with M1 leftovers from WW II.

But now, I'm thinking we send them down with dummy rifles (maybe a bayonet for personal defense).

I wasn't expecting very many to come home.

What's not "real" about that?

Hell, I'd rather have it than an M-16 for most situations - and the rest I'd rather have something else entirely.
