I appreciate that I have a distinctly non-fluffy worldview and that I approach this sort of thing with a somewhat different approach to many, but... grow a hide, man!

If you're going to leave because a spiky bastard (i.e. me) is not afraid to complain when something annoys him, or because idiots get called on their idiocy, then that's a sad state of affairs.

The inability for idiocy and morononimity to pass as the norm around here is one of the things I like. Many other web fora and communities are far too interested in looking after the feelings of their members, as if they weren't grown adults, instead of the relentless search for truth and reason (...slightly used) that you get here.

On reflection, ignore the "truth and reason" part, substitute with "sheep".

If you want to ponder "the good old days", go poking around in the archive which Karsten will provide a link to because I can't remember.

It was as shrill and flamey and spiky and EAT ELECTRIC DEATH then as it is now, if not more so.

In summary: stop being such a big girl's blouse.
