New Help with html blockquotes?
Hey there,

I don't know if I'm still considered "new" but there are times when I still screw up the html blockquoting. Could someone tell me what exactly I should type before and after quoting someone, if I do not want the ENTIRE quote quoted?

I can do the split-block quote wonderfully, but when I try and edit the quote and move the blockquote html commands around to the ends of what I edited, it seems to fail.

Can anyone please help?

New Easier way than using the HTML
You can use the wee codes (AYE!) of
and
surrounding the text you'd like to quote.

New Also, you can use the "Quote" drop-down box.
In addition to the WeeTag that Steve mentioned, you can use the Quote dropdown below the "Process Wee Codes" checkbox on the reply screen.

Just highlight the text you want to quote in the message you're replying to. Change the "Symbol" dropdown box to "Block" and hit the Quote button. It'll build the HTML for you and show you a preview of the result - a blockquote section with the blue line on the left side.

Experiment with the other drop-down choices.

HTH.

Cheers,
Scott.
