The reason that SCO is using an extortion based business plan is that people are not buying their product. I haven't used it since the mid 80s, and I was extremely happy to dump it. I don't know anybody who uses it on a recent (last 5-8 years)installation.
They are dead. The legal extortion is their last gasp.
