New Oh, and did I mention:
It runs for 7 hours on one (double-size) battery? Which makes the whole unit weigh a whopping 5 pounds?

New That's a big improvement.
I get about 3 hours on the battrey it came with; noticeably less with my WLAN card in.

Oh, and I did neglect to mention the 2x USB, Firewire and Memory Stick, but hey - they're standard on almost all VAIOs for the last few years. And the inbuilt NIC is why I chose the Z505 over a smaller model.
