Science cannot explain God
I started this as a new thread to move it out of the Oh Pun section.
I don't know what "puerile twaddle" means, but obviously I struck a nerve here with you. Science cannot explain Love either. We have to admit that there are things out there beyond explination. They do exist, even if we cannot physically see them.

Re: Science cannot explain God
If you can't understand "puerile twaddle" (both words are readily available in reputable dictionaries) then I think we may safely discount the likelihood of your being remotely able to comprehend God beyond the third-grade Sunday school level you have evinced thus far. Piss off, sonny, and don't venture into theology or, for that matter, evolutionary biology: you're just going to irritate me, and this week I find I'm in a mood to tear you three or four new assholes if you do.
cordially,
Die Welt ist alles, was der Fall ist.

By definition
Science is explicitly naturalistic. Science rejects the supernatural, not out of hostility to faith but because invoking the supernatural makes the answers too easy.
God is, by the definition of science, outside the scope of science.
Science is not alone in this. Accountancy also rejects divine intervention as an answer - the numbers have to work. In fact, accountancy is more strict in its rejection of divine intervention than science is. If you show a scientist a tree that grew in your back yard last night that has apples of pure gold on it, she'll work with you on it. If you tell an accountant that your balance is miraculously $1,000,000 more than the sum of your credits less your debits, she'll make the $1,000,000 go away.
Art is that way too - if I want to complete a painting, I must apply paint to a surface. I can't expect God to do it for me. And if He did, I would not be the artist.
A scientist who does not keep God out of his answers is like a builder who asks me to pray for God to keep me dry instead of building a decent roof. A good builder "rejects God", by building without trusting God to hold the walls up, in the same way a scientist "rejects God". It's called "doing your job" and most faiths say God (or whatever transcendant the faith observes) approves of it.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before
There was a short-lived show about a priest in a bad neighborhood. A visitor discovered the parish's accountant was an atheist. Asked why he woudl hire the atheist, the priest replied, "I don't want the guy doing our books to be expecting God to provide."

California rejects God
The state courts ruled "God has no property rights in the State of California". If you don't have an address to send the tax bill to, you're out of luck. Try Idaho.

No, the God of Orange County . .
. . is definitely a "He", and vengeful, but still can't own any property there.

The soul and substance of what customarily ranks as patriotism is moral cowardice and always has been...We have thrown away the most valuable asset we had-- the individual's right to oppose both flag and country when he (just he, by himself) believed them to be in the wrong. We have thrown it away; and with it all that was really respectable about that grotesque and laughable word, Patriotism.

It's not enough that you keep stepping in it,
but you fail to clean your shoes - and spread it all over the rug next time, too.
Apparently you slept through all those God Warz, from IWE through EZ to here. Tough about your memory and your unfamiliarity with dictionaries - but if you've failed to grasp why it is that unbidden evangelism grates on some.. if you still don't get that? I dunno if anyone has the patience to reexplain it to you.
Your literal mindset renders most discussion of such topics just about pointless, as perhaps you have (also) forgotten. So unless this is a dry run because you fancy the notoriety of there finally appearing say,
The Norman Memorial Killfile [checkbox] (Is that it?)
I suggest you just refrain from provocations which evoke such bad juju. That which gives you warm feelings - in some others can be achieved by incontinence, as well. You seen unable to grasp why it is that there could be hostility to your warm puppy - or to see why some others see that puppy as an Ashcroft/Godzilla monster. It's all been said. If you missed it the 3rd time around, tough. No encores, I expect.
Or {sigh} prepare for haemorrhoids in two or three of those new assholes.

Fair enuf - God never explained Science (JC Scientist-bah)
Smalltalk is dangerous. It is a drug. My advice to you would be don't try it; it could ruin your life. Once you take the time to learn it (to REALLY learn it) you will see that there is nothing out there (yet) to touch it. Of course, like all drugs, how dangerous it is depends on your character. It may be that once you've got to this stage you'll find it difficult (if not impossible) to "go back" to other languages and, if you are forced to, you might become an embittered character constantly muttering ascerbic comments under your breath. Who knows, you may even have to quit the software industry altogether because nothing else lives up to your new expectations. --AndyBower
