New IIRC
Microsoft uses IBM mainframes to run their business and Apache to host their web sites. The attempted to move Hotmail to IIS and failed.

A slight spin on if you can't do, teach.

If you can't run it, sell it.
When they took the Fourth Amendment, I was quiet because I didn't deal drugs.
When they took the Fifth Amendment, I was quiet because I was innocent.
When they took the Second Amendment, I was quiet because I didn't own a gun.
Now they've taken the First Amendment, and I can't say anything about it.
New Half right.
It's rumoured that the backend financials are running on AS/400.

There's no Linux on hotmail; the servers are still FreeBSD. However, you'll probably find that the frontend web servers are W2K.

I am not making this up.

Sometime you the windshield, sometime you the bug...
New *grin* I remember that...

New Payroll used to be on an AS/400.
But I don't think it is any more.

The soul and substance of what customarily ranks as patriotism is moral cowardice and always has been...We have thrown away the most valuable asset we had-- the individual's right to oppose both flag and country when he (just he, by himself) believed them to be in the wrong. We have thrown it away; and with it all that was really respectable about that grotesque and laughable word, Patriotism.
