With about 99% certainty, I'm soon going to be a VMS admin, of all wacky things. And be installing VTs in the 3 shops. What a concept.

So my W/LANs will run on UNIX, my accounting/job tracking/inventory on VMS, and the clients running putty on Windows XP. Surreal.

You will LEARN alot on VMS.

Real Security CAN be had on VMS. REAL System tools are on VMS.

It'll be a paradigm change for you... it was for me. If you have native IP on VMS, no VTs needed!

I believe it comes standard now... The only VT you will need are for the Console and the secondary console... of course you could use a serial port off your Linux server.
