If the answers to all these questions are "no" then what you really have is a perfect example of what's wrong with the primary system, and of people exploiting that flaw.

Forty-eight percent of voters in the primary were affiliated with the Republican Party, with Democratic voters making up 17 percent and independent voters making up 35 percent. Bush had 66 percent of the Republican voters in his camp, according to exit polls, with McCain gaining 29 percent from Republicans.
