Guinness? Overrated, I say.
Guinness simply isn't a good session beer. It's too heavy, leads to horrendous dogbreath, gives you black shit, and the hangover is obscene.
I much prefer a pint or eight of something much more suited to the task; Marston's Pedigree, maybe, or Theakston's XB.
Guinness is a nice drink, but, it's incredibly overrated. Add to that the fact that 99% of places neither keep it right nor pour it right (and yes, I've had crap Guinness in Irish pubs, too) and basically, it's statistically likely that you'd be much better off having a pint of the local bitter.
