note to self refuse interviews at 6pm
brain freeze, the worst interview I have ever attended this evening
question, what command do you use to execute a computer job if you dont want to hang around to start it
Aswer: well you could use the at command but I really prefer the,,,,,,,(fuck my mind goes numb). "uh I can see the syntax the shell it parses starts with 5 *'s minute of day, hour of day, day of week day of month and you write the command to execute after the time parameters all separated by a space,, my mind is blank"
clue is given: it has 4 letters
hang on, close my eyes visualize the keyboard, "cd /etc/cron CRON CRON!
then it turns out it is 99% hpux 11 and the last hp I worked on was an hp3000 in 1998 so I told the interviewer that and said I am sure you will have better candidates but give me access to the man pages and 5 days I will be up to speed. He said he would keep me in mind.
Always interview at 10am so the coffee burn is nicely lit and hunger pangs arnt starting for lunch.

Congrats
I had a similar brain fade during my masters oral presentation. The prof asked a freshmen level question, and my mind was so keyed on graduate level stuff, I froze. (got the degree anyway!)
