Glenn McCoy, carried by the NY Times as, I suppose, a kind of ideological affirmative action, draws poorly and displays a level of sophistication somewhat inferior to that of the 1950s cartoonists who drew eagles or Uncle Sams to represent this country, and ravenous bears for the Sovs, and helpfully depicted floating sheets of foolscap bearing descriptive labels, "USA" and "USSR," lest the reader miss the point.
