Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Here's another one for Andrew.
[link|http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=9637|\ufffd the inquirer] opinion piece.
MS is known for their dirty tricks squad, and will do just about anything to stick a knife between the shoulder blades of anything it deems a threat, and Palm is high on that list. By relegating the heart of their business to a second class player that feeds on Microsoft's scraps, a generation behind the latest outlook, and subject to "incompatibilities" with every new service pack, Palm is screwed, plain and simple.
Apparently Palm screwed up big time with Tungsten-T making itself dependent on Microsoft's Outlook for email synch up and supports no other emailer. Another quote:
The problem is that Palm has taken aim at its own foot, shot with deadly accuracy, and is in the process of handing the entire sector to Microsoft. In one seemingly simple step, it has given control of the core functionality to Microsoft.
Idiots!

New And I still get people surprised when I spurn MS.
The latest was purchasing movie tickets online - which at [link|http://www.hoyts.com.au/|the cinema in question] required I sign up to MS Passport! Fortunately, I found I could do the old-fashioned ring-up-and-book-tickets routine, but my friends were a bit surprised I did that.

Is it enough to love
Is it enough to breathe
Somebody rip my heart out
And leave me here to bleed

Is it enough to die
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be Anything but Ordinary
Please

-- "Anything but Ordinary" by Avril Lavigne.

New Once again . .
. . a company that had it all dropped the ball, and Microsoft moves in for the kill. They certainly deserve to die, it's just too bad so many otheres must suffer for their sins.

New I had to do a Palm App once.
It was ugly. But I got it done. Anyone know of a Linux kernel that will run on it?

The soul and substance of what customarily ranks as patriotism is moral cowardice and always has been...We have thrown away the most valuable asset we had-- the individual's right to oppose both flag and country when he (just he, by himself) believed them to be in the wrong. We have thrown it away; and with it all that was really respectable about that grotesque and laughable word, Patriotism.

- Mark Twain, "Monarchical and Republican Patriotism"
New Sure!
