New Re: thought about - a response
What's red about it?

(Beyond the clear Tejano-bashing, I'd like you personally, Spice, to know that, as Ash stated above, no ad hominem attack was ment toward you. I don't consider you Tejano. As I have said, there are Texans and people from Texas; I consider you to be the latter. However, you are quick to defend both Texans and people from Texas, often IMnsHO to the detriment of the latter. If there was going to be a defese of this clearly Texan incident, I would have expected it to come from you. If I was off-base, like I suspect I was, I apologize. If, however, you do want to defend this Texan act, bring it on... ;-) )

New Re: thought about - a response
From Merriam-Webster, 2nd definition for red herring:
2 [from the practice of drawing a red herring across a trail to confuse hunting dogs] : something that distracts attention from the real issue

Saying there's "no money for this, but you have money for that" is what I'm calling a red herring. Same as when an officer pulls you over - saying "why are you giving me a ticket? you should be out after the real criminals!" is a red herring argument to having been caught speeding.

However, you are quick to defend both Texans and people from Texas
not really. I'm quick to get upset over statements like Texas - a boil on the asshole of humanity. Doesn't bother me that y'all don't like "the resident" - that's just politics.

As far as funding for schools - I've pointed out in the past [link|/forums/render/content/show?contentid=62915|Post #62915] a major problem with school funding in Texas. If I'm not mistaken, part of what's been put on hold by the AWOL democrats is how to address this problem.

Anyway I'm running late to meet up with the HouStooks(Houston S2000[S2K] group) - we're going to see The Matrix Reloaded tonight.
