Couple of years ago, I was Groupwise Administratin' for a University.

Was walking to my car the day "Melissa" had knocked all the Outlook/Exchange servers in town down, about 5:30. Director of the department sees me, wants to know why I'm leaving. "Cause.. I'm through, why should I stay? What about this Melissa thing, aren't we down?" "nope... we've got groupwise, we've just got some extra mail coming in, everything's fine".

Just like Nimbda... its being described as an "Internet" or "Email" virus.

Not a Microsoft Virus.

(And BTW, you can use Outlook front ending a Groupwise mail system, just means the server won't get infected. :))
