New Re: I'Net Exploder graphics weirdness.
This is just excessive and misplaced caution regarding possible trojans in pictures (JEPGs) - if you lower the security settings, the pics should pop up. A similar issue - Outlook Express 6 by default disallows JPEG attachments to be opened.

New Doubt that's it . .
. . because it disallows .GIF too, and allows JPGs from other sites. I haven't heard of a .GIF virus.

New Well if there is a GIF virus...
... I'm sure it's a supported file format of Windows Media Player.

New IIRC there was a Windows virus that stored data in GIF files
once you got the infected GIF file, the code in the virus was activated to do something.

I don't think that this is the case here, more than likely bad cache memory. Clear the cache, or change the setting to refresh on each page load and then see if the problem goes away.

New That was a bs "virus".
I remember that thing - it required that the user have loaded an ADDITIONAL trojan on their computer before it would work. Not really a virus.
After 9/11, Bush made two statements:
1. "Terrorists hate America because America is a land of freedom and opportunity."
2. "We intend to attack the root causes of terrorism."

Sounds like everything is going according to plan.
New Re: Doubt that's it . .
There is an exploit in IE that depends on a malformed JPEG. It overflows some buffer or other.
