any of you in the Bay Area this 5/3?

rcareaga will be the chef-in-residence for the 14th consecutive year at Don & Paula's Cinco de Mayo brawl in Oakland's fashionable Rockridge district (just around the corner from rcareaga's own beloved rental dwelling, 1977-1993, whence he was expelled by a realtor with a flaming sword just about this time ten years ago). Don and Paula (he's a tech writer, she's a conservator at SFMOMA; he's her husband, rcareaga nailed her back in college) have been throwing this party since they were lonely California expats in Boston in the early 1980s; rc has been cooking for the party since the Washington DC event of 1990. The grub is good (my own recipes; generally a C-note worth of comestibles) and the company usually interesting. Saturday, 6:00 PM; post if local and interested (the cook is permitted an unlimited number of his own guests).
