New Re: Brodeur
He's a lot like Roy. If you score on him in the first 10 minutes of the first period, you can own him. Go into the second with no goals, and it'll be a long night.

The soul and substance of what customarily ranks as patriotism is moral cowardice and always has been...We have thrown away the most valuable asset we had-- the individual's right to oppose both flag and country when he (just he, by himself) believed them to be in the wrong. We have thrown it away; and with it all that was really respectable about that grotesque and laughable word, Patriotism.

New That's not always the case
Some nights they shut the door after several goals not letting the opposing team get the backbreaker so his team at least has a shot at getting back into the game. Going back as far as the '80s, they are simply the best two goalies of the last two decades and you'd be hard pressed to find a better goalie than them even right now. They've got the right attitude to rise up in the important games and the playoffs to dominate giving their teams a far better chance than what they should have. If it wasn't for Roy in 1986 and 1993 the Canadiens would not have won those two Stanley Cups.

New Agree.
I said, "you can own them" not will. In the games I've watched since '93, it seems that the only way to beat either of them is to score early - before they get their game faces working, and hope they leave their game faces off that night. ;-)
