Due to the fact
that MSN Messenger is now Officially A Pile Of Cack (MSN : Mighty Shitey Network), I can be reached on AIM, screenname : thecargocult
I'm still on the same old ICQ number, 85528105.
AIM and ICQ suck, yes, but at least they *work*.

Also MSN Messenger is tied into Hotmail, and set up so that it cannot be removed from startup as Hotmail reactivates it and has it install itself back into the Startup of Windows.
Anyone use Jabber? If so, what servers are you on? I cannot seem to get jabber.com or jabber.org to work.

I actually switched to Trillian this week and have found it to be an awesome little app. Basic chat with lots of extra goodies, and allows you to tie in all of your IMs including MSN, AIM, YIM, and ICQ.

Sounds like a winner!
I've bookmarked the page, and when I find time I will download it and use it. It will use all those standards at once. Will it import from the ICQ99 database files? If not, I'll have to have my friends send the auth for requests again for me.

It imported my ICQ contacts, but I think I've got ICQ2000.

ICQ2000 avoided because of bloatware
Like I really needed to have the ability to send electronic greeting cards and other crap? I stuck with ICQ99 because it just plain sucked less. :)
I'll give it a try and see if it imports the ICQ99 files. If not I'll have to, groan, upgrade to ICQ2000 and then import them.

they are working on a Linux version.
But if you have a suggestion for them, they do have a message board you can post on. Like "Where is the OS/2 version?" ;)
