Weird Outlook problem
Type "dad" in the TO box and it auto-fills in "Dad(work)". Control-K to check the names and I get "Microsoft Outlook does not recognize 'Dad(work)'". Not surprising, there is no "Dad(work)" entry in my contact list, just "Dad".
Type "mom" in the TO box and get a choice between "Mom & Dad Lavota"(email address for my mom's folx) and "Mom Spice"(email address for my dad's mom). Only "mom" exists in my contacts list - "Mom & Dad Lavota" is what my mom uses to address email to her parents, likewise "Mom Spice" is what she uses to address email to my dad's mom.
I think the addresses for my grandparents are showing up because I did a "reply all" to something my mother sent. However, I would expect anything in my contact list to match before anything Outlook "found by itself". As for Dad(work) - I don't know where that came from.
Any ideas on how to fix this? It's very annoying.

Dunno about Outlook... but
Groupwise has a similar problem with "Frequent Contacts"
Iffn you specify GW to look in FC before the Main Addressbook it will puke like you state.
Either I clear the FC or I change the search order. Dunno if Lookout has this feature or not.

thanx!
My trip thru help wasn't so helpful. Guess I was using the wrong search words.
Unchecking the option "Suggest names while completeing To, Cc, and Bcc fields" took care of it.

Ain't MS help great? Since I've started using MS Access and Word extensively, I've had to plow my way thru their help system. I've learned to use only one word in for the search. Any more will show me how to castrate a bull or AI a cow, but not what I really wanted to know.
And for those inquiring minds that want to know, yes, I worked on my uncle's ranch/farm and had to help with both.

Oh, *that* kind of "AI"! Read it in the other sense first...
...and I *bet* you never installed Artificial Intelligence on any cow at your uncle's ranch! :-)

Nope, my uncle did the dirty work.
I just had to hold the tail out of the way, and hand him the capsule of "Intelligence" at the appropriate time, when the cow smiled! ;-b
