President Bush apparently made some very strong statements supporting Arab-Americans, and Muslims in general, and came out equally strongly against the recent wave of "hate attacks" on anyone even resembling someone from the Middle East... and added to that, the director of the FBI added in his buck fifty, mentioning that attacks against Arab-Americans would be viewed as hate crimes and would not be tolerated.

Whether or not such statements ultimately will do any good remains to be seen, but it is nice to see.
