Interesting, that matches the story where the marine said

when asked why the woman had been killed by yhr marines - 'the chick got in the way'

It seems that there is a distinct possibility the the stories appearing in the Australian press, may get massaged before appearing in the US press. Just a few ever so subtle changes of wording.
