Welcome to IWETHEY!

New John is late to the party.
My popular comentary on the subject has been up for over a month (over 180,000 requests so far). You can find it on my Web site in the article [link|http://www.aaxnet.com/editor/edit029.html#longhorn|2003 and Beyond].

New OT: forums for your articles...
I'm wondering if it would be useful to use a copy of zIWT to provide forums for your articles... worth kicking around?

New I have thought of that . .
. . but I'm really pressed for time so taking on additional projects is difficult.

New Re: I have thought of that . .
Well, here's what I was thinking of:

1) I set up another board here (yes, the software can actually support more than just 'IWETHEY', believe it or not :-)

2) Once I have the admin interface up (add new forum, etc.) set you (or a designated lackey) up as admin for the 'AAXNET' (or whatever) board

3) Make a new forum for each story (or maybe just big ones)

4) Just put a link, 'Discuss this story <a href="http://z.iwethey.org/render/board/show?boardid=3">here</a>' at the bottom of each of your stories.

5) You can create a minimal header for each forum as well if you like, pointing back to the story perhaps.

New Wow, you really covered and referenced a lot of info
in that page. This is more than I've heard on it before.

Personally I'll stick with Windows 98 or XP myself, until more apps get converted to Linux, or WINE improves to the point of running some of the stuff that is currently unrunnable on it.

I guess the current Windows driver models are not going to work on Longhorn. I wonder if they too will get a database file entry?

Microsoft could set up their own Internet based on the .NET SQL Server by storing web pages as database records on their main server and renting out space for it to the clients.
