Los Angeles Times business section 28 March 2003:Gateway has a new 30 second commercial which advertises a bundle of free songs, and, at the end, points people to an anit-piracy Web site that urges respect for copyrights. Problem: the site also has information on what constitutes legal copying and how to do it, and urges people to contact their lawmakers about proposed legislation that tramples on their "fair use" rights.
CBS refused to air the commercial, giving the excuse that they don't run commercials that "advocate a position on any divisive issue".
