There is a term that describes the way I think the rest of the President's men (and the president himself) view Colin Powell. I won't use the term here, because it is horribly racist. But it starts with "uppity." And they seem to be doing everything in their power to put him in his place.
This is disgraceful. He should have resigned a long time ago, but he obviously feels some sort of duty and obligation that compells him to keep doing his job, regardless of how he's been hamstringed. My fear, though, is that it is destroying *his* credibility, which means that a much needed voice of restraint has been utterly decimated and will never be useful again.
