New Just in case you can swing it: screenprint?
Screenprinting isn't *that* expensive. For example, at [link|http://www.discmakers.com/rom/product_pages/cdrshortrun.html|http://www.discmaker.../cdrshortrun.html] :

Num ea Total\n25 $3.96 $99 \n50 3.48 174 \n100 2.49 249 \n200 2.39 478 \n300 2.29 687 \n500 1.99 995 \n1,000 1.49 1,490

Depends on the return on your labor, printing and affixing glue labels, I would say. Let's see, 50 discs = $20 in labels, 5 hours? x $20/hr = $120. Meh. Tough call.

Which you should be feeding with rumour and generalisation.

New Labels are far more cost effective

I think the cost for labels is overstated. Hmm... OK, [link|http://www.neato.com/neato_product1.asp?mscsid=PMX6A0Q984EV8PWVX5532U44SRG888UF&class%5Fid=%5FMATTEWHITE|this].\r\nsays they're $0.10 each, or $5.00 for fifty. I stamped 24 labels in\r\nabout fifteen minutes on the ferry. That's out of a 55 minute ride, and\r\nI don't plan on doing this more often than once every week or two.

\r\n\r\n

Screenprinting's not going to rate, at least not for a while. My\r\nquickie label (title and add'l text at right angles, the Knoppix graphic\r\nfrom http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/), looks reasonably decent. Still\r\nwant to get this done up in a GNU/Linux-friendly manner though. And get\r\nthe faq LaTeXed....

\r\n\r\n

...and the disks distributed to folks.

\r\n\r\n

Not that I don't think I couldn't stretch the labeling process out to\r\nfive or six hours, given sufficient Arrogant Bastards...
