He lived from 1900-1984. Although this commentary may have been given news coverage recently, it was originally broadcast in June, 1973, apparently in reference to the Vietnam War. The text has been altered a bit (some sections removed, and some wordings changed - for instance, "so far this spring" was changed to "this spring."
