New Cisco VPN - local access
My home network is a 192.168.1.x.
I access the internet via NAT over
a Linksys router.

I've got a little laptop running XP
to connect with the office.

We use Cisco VPN.

The VPN claims to be able to handle both
local and remote, but the remote includes a
192.168.1.x network.

Am I screwed?

I can't see local when client is invoked,
even though I tell it to all it.
New put your home net on a 10 network
unless the far end uses that also, be creative :-)

New what bill said
Though I'm not sure what the linksys is capable of wrt ip address range on the lan side. I'd probably make the lan 192.168.100.x or somesuch, and make sure netmask is at least 255.255.255.0 to avoid conflicts. It's easy to confuse a router ;)

New Make sure VPN admin has enabled split tunneling.
Just because the client is able to do it doesn't mean the server permits it.

New Not entirely.
But you're probably confusing the VPN routing. For what you have in mind to work, your 192.168. subnet should be allocated out of the other end. Or vice versa. It would be simpler to renumber your local network to 10.x.x.x. It would probably be simpler to remember, too!
