New Some wag suggests R-E of .net
[link|http://slashdot.org/askslashdot/01/07/02/2216215.shtml|http://slashdot.org...216215.shtml]

Now if an open source community group took this on in earnest - I would piss myself laughing.

Cheers

Doug Marker
New Well, the intention is good.
But I don't think re-enginerring .NET itself is such a good idea. Someone over there said it would legitimise .NET! I don't think that that's such a good idea.

New Would this be ~ same as having the inmates at Sobibor
helping make up those batches of Zyklon-B, for er 'extra food' in the interim before...

?

well. you. know. before. ____. what.
New Yup, I too agree with the Reg's take. BTW, did you...
...notice how Cliff, the fsckwit Slashdumb editor who wrote it up, fundamentally misunderstood both the e-mail from their correspondent and the Reg's misgivings?

He just blithely twittered on about how "Yes, if we could get .NET working on non-Microsoft platforms, it would be a good thing" -- which was the exact opposite of what the Reg wrote, and "a Slashdot reader" found "worth discussing".

Sheesh...! No wonder I don't go there all that often any more.
