New How frequently can one safely give blood?
I gave some a month ago in a regularly scheduled blood drive. I didn't feel nearly as dizzy afterward as everybody seemed to think I should be feeling. Am I good to go again?

New Generally every six weeks.
That's the soonest the Red Cross will usually take you. Private blood banks may have different stantards. Depending on your blood type and your proximity to a catastrophe, the Red Cross may shorten that time, too.
This is my sig. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
New United Blood Services
Runs a cycle of eight weeks.

I usually manage to hit that within a few days, but last time I donated I gave a double-red blood cell donation, which usually takes you out for 16 weeks.

I handle donations very well and I may call and see if I can tighten the cycle for the emergency

Take care,
Jay
