Some developers are talking about litigation.

It appears Microsoft knew their statements to developers were false, but expected to beat Timeline down in court and never have to answer to those statements.

Meanwhile, they bought Timeline's competitors to try to replace their technology, so they could once again say, "That was in the past and has no relevance today".
