New Yes, this was advertised at the time.
It was supposed to happen automagically (with Win98, I think) and was just part of Windows, but I don't know how well it worked, or if it worked at all. Haven't heard a word about it since the original release, so maybe it didn't.

New I see it on my laptop
on the 98 partition.

The Disk Defrager's "select drive" dialog box has a logo "Intel Optimizers" along with the text "Intel Application Launch Accelerator".

The settings screen has the pre-checked option to "Rearrange program files so my programs start faster."

New Remember this ONLY works with INTEL Chipsets...
...and INTEL Processors... eg i810, i815, i820... etc... and Pentium, PentiumPro, PII, P3, P4...
