Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Mail distribution program for Windows.
I have a client who has heen using Artisoft XtraMail for years, but for some reason it has been slowly breaking down and refusing to get the mail, now to the point where it rarely gets it at all. A reinstall didn't do much good.

For this reason, I am looking to replace it (XtraMail is no longer supported at all).

XtraMail acts as an internal mail server (it runs on a workstation, the company has no formal server), and forwards outgoing mail to the ISP. It also fetches mail from an ISP mailbox that pools all the mailboxes into a single box. When the mail is fetched it is distributed into the local boxes by the To: address.

Do any of you know of a Windows solution for this available at a reasonable price? The one I usually use is Pythaes, but it runs over Exchange Server, which these people don't have.

The client is 100% Windows and shudders when I mention Linux, but might agree to that if nothing else can be found.

New Mail servers for Windows
Argosoft Mail Server:

I've used it and it seems to work fine once you get the relay settings set right.

Mail Enable:

I use this one, it seems to be easy to use and runs as an NT/W2K/XP service. It also does mailing lists as well.

Mailtraqw is one I haven't tried yet:

I heard some good things about it.

Good luck, pick the one that works best for you.

New Re: Mail distribution program for Windows.
I can sort-of recommend Alt-N's MDaemon product.

It's not pretty, but it works and can be administered remotely. I've used this in anger for about three years now.

Offers POP3 and forwarding, amongst other things.
